Félix, an AI-powered WhatsApp remittance platform serving Latino immigrants, announced a $200 million Series C funding round co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst. The Miami-based startup, founded in 2020 by Manuel Godoy and Bernardo García, has now raised nearly $300 million in total. The company did not disclose its post-Series C valuation but said it tripled since its $75 million Series B, pushing Félix toward unicorn status, according to news.crunchbase.com.

The Series C round included an $87 million equity investment led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from QED Investors, Castle Island Ventures, Switch Ventures, Contour Venture Partners, and Endeavor Catalyst. General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund committed $113 million in debt to support Félix’s growth. The startup connects users in the U.S. with families across 11 Latin American countries, including Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Peru. Co-founder Manuel Godoy highlighted the personal experience behind the venture, emphasizing a user-first approach to financial services.

Félix has processed over $8 billion in transactions to date and reported revenue growth of more than 2.5 times in the past year. The remittance market for Latino immigrants is highly competitive, with Félix leveraging AI and WhatsApp integration to differentiate itself. The company’s ability to scale rapidly and secure significant funding places it alongside other fintech firms expanding cross-border payment solutions, reflecting growing investor interest in digital remittance platforms.

Félix’s last funding round in 2024 was a $75 million Series B led by QED Investors at a $484.5 million valuation. The startup’s substantial transaction volume and revenue growth underscore its expanding footprint in Latin America’s remittance corridor.
