D2C footwear and accessories brand Fizzy Goblet has onboarded Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan as a strategic investor nearly four years after appointing her as brand ambassador in April 2022, according to inc42.com. The financial terms were not disclosed. The startup is expanding its offline and online presence across India while accelerating international growth plans.

Founded in 2013 by Laksheeta Govil, Fizzy Goblet designs and manufactures footwear and accessories in India. Initially focused on traditional Indian footwear like juttis and kolhapuris, it has broadened its portfolio to include heels, loafers, sneakers, workwear, comfort sliders, handbags, and potlis. The brand sells through its website and 16 company-owned stores. Kapoor’s new role extends beyond marketing to participating in design selection and driving brand awareness domestically and internationally.

Fizzy Goblet currently operates at an annual revenue run rate of about ₹60 crore and aims to exceed ₹100 crore in the next year. The brand ships products to markets including the US, UK, UAE, Canada, and Australia. This move reflects a growing trend of celebrities taking on strategic investment roles in consumer startups, moving beyond endorsements to long-term partnerships.

Fizzy Goblet’s expansion and Kapoor’s strategic involvement come amid rising celebrity investments in consumer brands. The company’s next milestone will be reaching its targeted ₹100 crore annual revenue run rate, signaling its growing footprint in both Indian and international markets.
