Zenergize, a clean tech startup specializing in electric vehicle (EV) chargers, raised $4 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Giraffe Studios, the company confirmed. The round included participation from industry figures such as Nikhil Sawhney of Triveni Turbine, Varun Agarwal of Ellenbarrie, and Shyam Bagri of Bagrry’s Holdings. Founded in March 2025 by IIT Bombay alumni Navneet Daga and Veer Karan Goyal, Zenergize plans to use the capital to boost production capacity and expand its team.

The funding round also saw contributions from Raoul Bajaj of Trafigura, former Delhivery executives Ajith Pai and Sandeep Barasia, Neo Group managing director Nitin Jain, and New Bank CEO Hemant Daga, alongside other angel investors and existing backers. Zenergize currently manufactures AC and DC chargers and solar inverters at its Parwanoo facility in Himachal Pradesh, producing about 2,000 inverters and 30 to 40 chargers monthly. The startup intends to enhance research and development and expand sales and servicing teams in India, with plans to open a new facility in Delhi NCR.

The infusion of capital comes as the EV market in India grows rapidly, increasing demand for reliable charging infrastructure. Zenergize’s focus on hybrid inverters, which cofounder Navneet Daga said the market will gravitate towards within the next 12 months, positions the company to capture emerging opportunities. The startup’s production scale and investor backing place it among notable players in the clean tech and EV charging sector, which is seeing increased activity amid government incentives and rising EV adoption.

Zenergize aims to double its production capacity over the next few months and accelerate development of hybrid inverter technology. The company’s manufacturing footprint currently includes its Parwanoo plant, with plans underway for a second facility in Delhi NCR to support expanded operations, according to Navneet Daga’s statement to Inc42.
