Genrobotics, a robotics startup backed by Zoho, reported a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹2.6 crore in FY26, nearly tripling from ₹90 lakh the previous year, according to CEO Vimal Govind MK. The company’s operating revenue rose 35% to ₹43.7 crore in FY26 from ₹32.5 crore, while EBITDA increased 74% to ₹6.6 crore, with margins improving significantly.

Founded in 2017 by Vimal Govind MK, Arun George, Nikhil NP, and Rashid K, Genrobotics specializes in robots designed to replace hazardous human labor. Its flagship product, Bandicoot, automates manhole and sewer cleaning, reducing the need for workers to enter confined spaces. The startup has since expanded into medical robotics, oil and gas, defence, and space technology sectors, driven by stronger product-market fit and competitive pricing.

Genrobotics aims to accelerate adoption of its robotic solutions with plans to grow revenue more than fivefold to ₹219.9 crore in FY27. The company projects EBITDA and PAT to rise to ₹67.2 crore and ₹42.7 crore, respectively. This growth is supported by wider market penetration and enhanced manufacturing capabilities, positioning Genrobotics as a notable player in the industrial robotics space in India.

The startup is preparing to raise a ₹150 crore Series B funding round to support its expansion plans and product development. The increased profitability and strong growth trajectory underscore Genrobotics’ potential to scale its operations across multiple sectors, including sanitation, healthcare, and defence robotics.
