Mumbai-based B2B pharma distribution startup Fundly.ai raised $4 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Accel and Multiply, the company announced. The round also included former RBL Bank executive director Rajeev Ahuja and undisclosed angel investors. Separately, Fundly.ai secured $900,000 in venture debt from Alteria Capital, bringing its total funding to over $7 million, according to inc42.com.
Fundly.ai builds payment and settlement infrastructure that integrates with distributors’ ERP systems to manage payment cycles. Its current pilot in Pune covers about 3,000 retailers and multiple distributors. The startup plans to deepen its presence in existing markets before expanding to new cities. It will also extend its transaction and SaaS infrastructure and onboard more distributors onto its platform, the company said.
The startup aims to address inefficiencies in India’s pharmaceutical distribution, which largely relies on WhatsApp, phone calls, and paper ledgers. Fundly.ai’s platform creates a coordination layer connecting ordering, payments, and credit. It plans to introduce programs for pharmaceutical companies to gain distribution-level insights from commerce and transaction data. Additionally, Fundly.ai intends to develop an intelligence layer to improve demand forecasting and credit underwriting, founder and CEO Amit Chawla explained.
Fundly.ai’s Pune pilot currently covers around 3,000 retailers and multiple distributors, serving as a testbed for scaling its infrastructure. The startup’s total funding now exceeds $7 million, positioning it to expand its footprint and enhance its platform capabilities, inc42.com reported.
