Healthtech startup Medulance has raised ₹24 crore ($2.5 million) in a Series A funding round led by Auxano Capital, along with existing investors Alkemi, Equentis, and a group of angel investors, the company announced. The fresh capital will be used to expand its emergency services across India, grow its hospital and enterprise business, and enhance its technology and connected ambulance fleet.
Founded in 2017 by Pranav Bajaj and Ravjot Singh Arora, Medulance operates a GPS-based emergency response and ambulance booking platform. It offers app- and phone-based ambulance booking with a fleet that includes advanced life support, basic life support, patient transport, and mortuary vans. The startup uses GPS and 5G-enabled technology to manage ambulances, emergency calls, and dispatch, enabling real-time patient data sharing with hospitals and remote doctor assessments via onboard cameras, according to inc42.com.
Medulance’s network spans more than 15,000 ambulances across over 500 cities, covering more than 8 million people and handling around 5,000 emergency calls daily. The company claims an average response time of under 11 minutes, 95% fleet uptime, and serves over 110 corporate and hospital clients. It has raised over $5 million to date, including a previous $3 million Series A round led by Alkemi Growth, positioning it as a notable player in India’s emergency healthcare sector.
The startup’s latest funding round will support scaling its pan-India presence and improving its technology infrastructure. Medulance’s ability to connect patients, medical teams, and hospitals in real time is central to its growth strategy, as it aims to enhance emergency response efficiency and patient outcomes across the country.
